Reformer Pilates Classes

SE9 Pilates specialises in Dynamic Reformer Pilates, a more contemporary take on the Pilates Method, which will ensure that you are still working the right muscles, maintaining your alignment whilst performing more demanding exercises and stretches.

Who is Pilates for?

Pilates is designed to benefit any age group and body type, our classes are open to all, including beginners, Pilates devotees and those in between. We have classes suitable for all abilities. Ideally a new beginner would have a personal session or start in a beginners group to master the basic principles. All our classes are 50 mins long, they provide you with a full body workout and they are never the same!

A basic level of fitness is helpful, but not essential. Beginners’ classes are open to everyone and they’re the perfect introduction to our Dynamic Pilates programme.

Is Intermediate Reformer Pilates right for me?

The pace of the class is faster than a Mixed Ability Reformer Pilates class. Sequences and progressions are connected fluidly one to the next, moving the body in all planes and directions, building up intensity and resistance throughout the class. A great test of your strength endurance as you build long, lean muscles.

Private Sessions

The Reformer gives versatility and challenge to fully perform the Pilates Method, exceptionally safe and effective.

What are the benefits of private lessons?

The benefits of individual studio sessions are that they give you a more effective and versatile way of practising Pilates, so they are great if you want results in as short a time as possible or if you need special attention in order to, for example, rehabilitate from injury or use the Method to improve specific sports performance, and if you are pre or post-natal.

What do we do in private lessons?

In a Private Pilates session you will be working with the teacher on a one to one basis with a session plan tailored specifically to your personal objectives for each session. The equipment used gives both versatility and increased challenge to the Pilates Method, making it an exceptionally safe yet effective form of exercising.
